    Elevate your performance in the mountains with the Kima RT, born from the needs of elite mountain competitors traversing some of the harshest terrain you can find. The mesh and PU reinforced upper provides structure and support, while the technical last shape and our Sock-fit LW technology means a dialed in fit for moving fast over technical terrain. The midsole features our Foot Active Control system, combined with a carbon fiber plate and a Presa SuperGum outsole, for ultimate traction and security when venturing above treeline.

    • EXO CONSTRUCTION

      Highly breathable upper mesh is backed by out EXO internal support matrix, inspired by structural elements of the Golden Gate Bridge. Welded PU reinforcements on the upper add additional structure, support and abrasion resistance.

      FOOT ACTIVE CONTROL

      The midsole features two different densities of a SCARPA exclusive "Active EVA" compound. The lower layer in a softer density cushions foot strike and adapts to rocky terrain. The upper layer of medium density Active EVA provides support and structure to minimize foot fatigue. Sandwiched between the two layers is a 1mm, multi-layer carbon fiber plate that provides underfoot protection and significant energy return and propulsion in the toe-off phase of the gait cycle.

    Technologies

    Upper construction system designed by SCARPA. Lateral protection (inserts or therm-welded cage) combined with upper, create an exoskeleton that better protect, support and contain the foot.
    Ortholite is an open-cell PU foam with great resistance to compression set (less than 5% compression set). The open cell PU structure provides exceptional breathability, and the formulation also includes 5% recycled rubber content as well, providing enhanced rebound while lowering the impact on the planet at the same time.

    PRESA®, SCARPA's outsole brand, offers superior traction with 80+ years of design expertise. It features IKS technology with seven impact-absorbing domes for shock absorption, anatomically mapped for precise support. Dual-density EVA in the midsole enhances lightweight cushioning, while a Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion frame in TPU ensures rearfoot stability and torsion control. The outsole's 4mm lugs and SuperGum rubber compound ensure durable, high-friction traction.
    An innovative technology, exclusive to SCARPA, SOCK-FIT is constructed with the tongue as a single piece of elastic fabric that wraps over the top of the foot, which offers a snug mid-foot fit and additional lateral stability, while at the same time reducing weight and bulk.
    Exclusive to SCARPA, the SuperGum rubber compound was developed to provide equal or better slip resistance as compared to other high-friction rubbers but with vastly superior abrasion resistance. It was formulated to deliver high friction performance in both wet and dry conditions, but at the same time offers 3 times the abrasion resistance.
    VIBRAM® XS GRIP2 delivers excellent friction with enough firmness for moderate edging.

    • 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
    • The 30 Euro sizes below cover the same size range as 24 US sizes
    • Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use
    • For mountaineering boots, upsize (1/2+ sizes) depending on desired fit.
