    Technologies

    Vibram® is the world leader in high performance rubber soles and compounds, targeted to the outdoor, work, recreation, fashion, repair and orthopedic markets.

    GORE-TEX® membrane contains over 9 billion microscopic pores which are approximately 20,000 time smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times bigger than a molecule of moisture vapor. So while water in it's liquid state can't penetrate the GORE-TEX membrane, the boot still remains breathable.

    The ACTIVimpact Technology™ system is a construction process which uses materials that help absorb the negative impact of ground shock. This reduces stress on the lower limbs and allows you to transfer energy more easily into the activity at hand.

    ACTIVfit is a construction system that develops different lasts, soles and models designed specifically for women or men feet. The models are designed and constructed for the best performance in various outdoor activities.

    Sizing

    All SCARPA non-plastic footwear and our Alien 3.0 uses European sizing.

    • 1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
    • 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
    • The 30 Euro sizes below cover the same size range as 24 US sizes
    • Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use
    • For mountaineering boots, upsize (1/2+ sizes) depending on desired fit.
