If the day calls for more boulder hopping and slab scrambling, then you'll love the ultra-sticky Vibram® outsole and dual-density midsole which cushions your feet in harsh terrain. And yes, as the profile and highly breathable construction suggest, this shoe won't shy away from an occasional trail run or two, offering plenty of support in case you decide to take the long route home.

    GORE-TEX® membrane contains over 9 billion microscopic pores which are approximately 20,000 time smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times bigger than a molecule of moisture vapor. So while water in it's liquid state can't penetrate the GORE-TEX membrane, the boot still remains breathable.

    Ortholite is an open-cell PU foam with great resistance to compression set (less than 5% compression set). The open cell PU structure provides exceptional breathability, and the formulation also includes 5% recycled rubber content as well, providing enhanced rebound while lowering the impact on the planet at the same time.

    All SCARPA non-plastic footwear and our Alien 3.0 uses European sizing.

    • 1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
    • 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
    • The 30 Euro sizes below cover the same size range as 24 US sizes
    • Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use
    • For mountaineering boots, upsize (1/2+ sizes) depending on desired fit.
